Emoji Game
[Any Language]
The Emoji Game is easy to play. One person (or group) uses English (or another target language) to describe each emoji and another person (or group) must guess the emoji. When describing an emoji, a player cannot use the name of the emoji, and this player cannot use gestures, but this player can use any other English words to describe it. This player tries to get the other players to correctly guess as many emoji as possible in 2 minutes. The other players can ask questions in English at any time, and if they do not know how to say the name of the emoji in English, they can pass or use a dictionary to find the name of the new vocabulary word (this takes time in a funny way). When playing the Emoji Game, a player should not skip or pass more than one emoji per turn.
What Does the Red Border Mean?
When the 2-minute timer finishes, a red outline appears around the emoji box and the “Random Emoji” button.
This red border means “Time’s up!” — it’s a visual alert to let you know that the activity or guessing time has ended.
The red border helps you:
- Quickly recognize that the timer has finished
- Avoid needing to constantly watch the countdown
To try again, just click Reset to remove the red outline and restart the timer.
