Free Writing Tool
Free writing is a simple way to build fluency in a second language.
Choose a time from 1 to 10 minutes,
select a topic if you want one,
press Start,
and begin writing.
Do not worry too much about grammar, spelling, or finding the perfect word. The goal is to keep writing and express your ideas as freely as possible.
You may use the topic generator for inspiration, or you may write about your own topic. When the timer ends, the writing box will lock automatically. You will then see your writing time, word count, and topic. You can also copy your writing and save it, share it with a teacher, or use it for later revision.
For learners, free writing helps you practice producing language without stopping too often. It encourages you to think in the language, connect ideas, and become more comfortable expressing yourself. Over time, regular free writing can help you write more quickly, notice gaps in your language, and develop confidence.
For teachers, this tool can be used as a warm-up activity, fluency exercise, reflection task, journal activity, or low-pressure writing practice. Students can write for a short time, count their words, and then choose one or two sentences to improve. The focus does not always need to be correction. Sometimes the most important goal is simply helping students produce more language with less fear.
A good routine is to write freely first, then revise later. Fluency comes from practice, and accuracy can be improved after ideas are already on the page.
